About

Elim Church and Strong Tower Parish, next door neighbors in Northeast Minneapolis, have made caring for people experiencing homelessness a priority. Both churches provide beds for residents in need of shelter.

Contact During Open Hours:
Elim shelter phone number: 612.814.2490 (women only)
Strong Tower shelter phone number: 612.756.6606 (men)

Guests arrive early evening after daytime church activities have concluded. The shelters will close in the morning before church programs start up again. All guests will be provided an evening meal at Elim and then Strong Tower guests will move next door to their accommodation for the night.

The program will serve youth age 18+, women, men and seniors, coupled or single. As a Christ-centered shelter, people of no or any religion, all sexual and gender orientations or those living with mental, chemical and physical health challenges will be treated with respect in a harm reduction model environment.

The shelters were initially supported through a grant from the Schulze Family Foundation. Donations to support continued operations are welcome.
